For me, art is not merely a form of expression, but a special way of stopping time and preserving a moment, a light, or a feeling.
I was born in the Soviet Union and grew up in Crimea, Ukraine. From an early age, I developed a strong connection with the visual arts. In 1999, I graduated from an art school, where I studied the fundamentals of drawing, painting, and sculpture. My interest in art continued to grow even when I later turned to architecture.
In 2006, I received a degree in Architecture from the Crimean Academy of Environmental and Resort Development. Architecture greatly influenced my artistic vision, teaching me to pay attention to space, proportions, perspective, and the rhythm of lines. I also continued studying sculpture and fine arts there.
Later, I moved to Budapest, which opened a new chapter in both my life and my artistic journey. The Hungarian capital is a special source of inspiration for me. Its architecture, streets, the light and reflections of the Danube, and the historical atmosphere of the city often appear in my paintings.
From 2009 to 2012, I participated in various art exhibitions and competitions. This period became an important stage in my artistic development, giving me the opportunity to present my work and gain new experience.
After 2012, I focused primarily on creating unique commissioned artworks for private collections. At the same time, I began to devote more attention to presenting my work online and reaching an international audience.
I love travelling, and every journey brings new impressions and inspiration. For me, a city, landscape, or seascape is not simply a subject to paint, but a feeling and an atmosphere that I want to preserve and share with the viewer.
I am particularly drawn to landscapes, urban scenes, and portraits. Alongside oil and acrylic painting, I also work with watercolor, silk, and textile paints. I enjoy exploring the possibilities of different materials, and I find it especially inspiring when an unconventional surface, such as a garment, becomes a “canvas.”
Light and color play an important role in my painting. I do not strive to create a perfect copy of reality; instead, I seek to convey the feeling I experienced in a particular moment. A sunlit street, an old building, a flower, or a landscape becomes truly meaningful to me when it evokes an emotion.
For me, art is above all a dialogue — a dialogue between myself and the world, and also between the artwork and the viewer. When someone pauses in front of one of my paintings and discovers their own memory, feeling, or story within it, I feel that the painting has truly come to life.
