To participate, you can submit an application as an artist, curator or venue by completing the relevant form.
Please note that all applications will be assessed. If accepted, users will receive instructions on how to create their personal profile, where they will be able to add information about themselves and the details of their event for BA 2026.
Applications will be carefully reviewed and priority will be given according to the order in which they are received.
Participation in BA is completely free of charge, and events requiring an admission fee will not be accepted.
Artists
Participation is reserved exclusively for artists who professionally pursue research and exhibition activities in the field of contemporary art, as demonstrated by their artistic curriculum. In addition, participation in Budapest Artineris is subject to the criteria established by BA in its regulations.
To participate in BA, artists must organise an open studio during the event, take part in a curator’s project, or participate in an exhibition hosted by a venue registered with BA.
Curators
Participation is reserved exclusively for those who professionally carry out curatorial activities in the field of contemporary art, as demonstrated by their curriculum. In addition, participation in Budapest Artineris is subject to the criteria set out in its regulations.
Registered curators will be required to organise at least one exhibition project during BA, to be held in Budapest at the venue and in the manner they consider most appropriate. Artists whose registration with BA has been endorsed by the curator may take part in the projects organised by curators.
Structures
Budapest Artineris is open to exhibition structures (Galleries, Foundations, Institutions, Cultural associations, Academies, Italian and international Institutes, and public or private Exhibition spaces, including hotels) based in Budapest and operating continuously in the field of contemporary art.
Venues registered on the budapestartweek.com platform can present their activities to the public and promote artists by creating one or more events for the occasion.
Events may include openings, closing events, meetings with artists, talks, guided tours, etc.
