Since its establishment, our institution has hosted numerous prestigious exhibitions. Our aim is to provide a home for contemporary art and, through our exhibitions and encounters between artists and audiences, to promote an appreciation of genuine artistic values and foster a demand for quality. We have had the opportunity to present our visitors with the artistic careers and latest works of many creators who are leading figures in contemporary visual art.
Kultúrkúria is one of the few exhibition venues committed to the continuous presentation of fine art, applied art, and photography. Through its exhibitions, it therefore plays an important role in the cultural life of both the region and Budapest. Our corridor gallery hosts photography exhibitions, while fine and applied art exhibitions take place simultaneously. Our exhibitions attract visitors not only from the surrounding area and Budapest, but also from other parts of Hungary and from abroad.
Our temporary exhibitions present the work of prominent figures in visual culture as well as emerging young talents. On several occasions, we have also organised joint exhibitions bringing together artists working in different disciplines, as well as presentations of artist groups and nationwide showcases dedicated to specific artistic fields, such as the Biennial of Goldsmithing Art.
Presenting various art collections and objects of cultural and historical significance to the public is also an important part of our exhibition programme.
