A.P.Art Gallery is an elegant exhibition venue and contemporary art community space dedicated to promoting and supporting contemporary art. The gallery launches a thematic art open call every month, providing emerging and professional artists with opportunities to present their visual artworks or performing arts projects to the public. Its exhibition openings are conceived as multidisciplinary artistic events.
The gallery regularly organises a wide range of programmes. In addition to solo and group exhibitions, it hosts creative and professional workshops and discussions. Its aim is to provide both emerging and established artists with a space to present their work and, through its Artmentor programme, to support them in achieving their professional goals and reaching new audiences both nationally and internationally. The harmonious space, with its distinctive atmosphere, is closely connected to the Hyggelig specialty café, whose clientele continuously contributes to the gallery’s audience. The venue hosts a variety of artistic and cultural events with the aim of bringing contemporary art to an increasingly broad public.
The gallery was founded by Anita Püspök, a painter, visual artist, art teacher and mentor whose lyrical abstract paintings and installations are inspired by a close relationship with nature, sustainability and contemporary thought.
As both an artist and gallery director, her aim is to transform art into a vibrant, multidisciplinary community experience, bringing together visual and applied arts, theatre, music and other artistic disciplines so that art can become part of everyday life.
The gallery’s professional programme is supported by recognised artists and curators from the contemporary art scene, who actively contribute to the development of exhibition concepts and the professional evaluation of open-call submissions.
The curatorial team prioritises high artistic quality, conceptual thinking and distinctive individual voices, ensuring that each project authentically reflects the diversity and progressive spirit of contemporary art. By combining different areas of expertise and perspectives, the team contributes to shaping the gallery’s professional direction and strengthening A.P.Art Gallery’s multidisciplinary and contemporary approach.
