The Art of Picture Framing
As part of Budapest Artineris, Margaret ART BOX offers a glimpse into the world of professional picture framing.
During the presentation, visitors will learn how a frame becomes an integral part of a work of art, and what criteria we use to select the shape, material, color, and glazing that best suit a given piece.
Visitors will gain insight into the practical process of framing, ranging from classic and contemporary solutions to state-of-the-art glazing techniques designed to protect works of art. Special attention will be given to the professional framing of original artworks, prints, photographs, and unique, delicate materials.
The aim of the demonstration is to show that a well-chosen frame does more than simply surround the image: it highlights, protects, and completes the artwork.
